This auction is for one 1227747 ECM (also known as Engine Computer, Powertrain Control Module, PCM, ECU, and VCM).  This ECM will fit any application that originally used the 1227747 ECM.
1987 - 1991 Chevy / GMC **with oem 1227747 ECM.
This unit is sold without the prom.  Simply remove the prom for your unit and install it into the replacement computer.  No special tools are needed.

******GM installed this 1227747 ECM in a variety of GM applications.  This was possible because each model received their specific PROM (also known as chip) from the factory.  In other words, you can't simply swap a used ECM from one vehicle to the next unless you match the SERVICE NO of 1227747 and replace the PROM (also known as chip) with the one from your vehicle.  When you receive the computer you will need to remove the two bolt cover and install the PROM (also known as a chip) from your original computer.  No special tools are required to do this.
The PROM is what holds the vehicle specific programming so you must reuse your PROM.
