Description

Very nice bronze figure of a woman. 19th Century.  Most likely originally sat on a marble  clock. Woman is seated, reading a book. The pages of the book  show a cherub fishing and a house. There is a book ( I think ) at her leg. Bronze retains most of its original gilding. Very nice condition. Stands about 10 1/2 inches  tall and 7 inches wide. A lovely bronze by the well known Mathurin Moreau. Signed on the chair.
