Antique English 8" Hand Hammered / Hand Wrought / Peened Copper Lid.
The listing is for the lid ONLY; as found the pot or other vessel it went with was not available for sale.
We do not know the age of the lid specifically, but it appears to quite old.  It is beautifully hand wrought / peened with hand made rivets.  Without the pot, the lid is a wonderful piece of decor in its own right that would look great displayed with other antique pieces in your kitchen.
The lid was thought by the seller to me made in England where we purchased it, but we do not know for certain if that information is correct.
At the time of the original listing, we are in the process of listing a large number of antique and vintage items purchased in England.  These items are an eclectic mix including gold and sterling jewelry, and many unique, and in some cases, one of a kind items, in wood, brass, and iron, and other materials as well.  We also have a number of other hand made or peened copper items in our ebay store.
The lid measures 8" in diameter with a 1" deep rim.  The handle protrudes 1 1/4" above the surface of the lid.  The lid weighs 13 ounces and it has a nice heavy feel.
Condition
The lid is in excellent condition.
