    Description

Antique Manning Bowman & Co. Enamel Teapot and warmer Pat. Jan 12,1892.
Beautiful and unique, were the first two words that came to mind when I saw this. The design is intricate, well balanced and eye catching. Both the spout and handle are well adorned as is the top and base.
A gorgeous Patinha has occurred over the course of a century which just adds to charm.
I believe the top half is pewter, while the bottom is a pale green colored enamel, with daisies springing up all around the base. It gives this piece a whimsical look, and you just can’t help but know you have something special.
It is in very good shape given its age, but there are a few flaws that have occurred. The top has a few dimples in it, which again give this character and beauty, instead of taking away from it, IMO.
The enamel base is in excellent shape. No dings or dents or scratches. There is a blemish, very light on the back. Almost unnoticeable. The enamel on the inside is in good shape, all it needs is a cleaning. There is some light oxidation that has occurred.
The warmer and holder are in very good shape. No major dings or dents, just a beautiful Patinha. The bottom does look like it had a repair done to one of the legs underneath. There does look to be a weld on that same leg around the base.
The measurements of the teapot alone are 6” wide by
7 1/4” high. On the stand it measures 11” high.
These don’t come around very often in this condition, so don’t pass this one up. It is a conversation piece and a true antique.
    Thank you
