For sale is this
early 20th century
Islamic, Arabesque,
antique,
15 1/2" in diameter,
silver overlay (now somewhat reduced) over copper metal charger. The charger isn't signed but is the bearer of repeating incised floral and other
Arabesque,
geo-abstract hieroglyphs on its slightly bowed sill, that rise upward from the interior basin. The
Islamic
symbols are not stamped but are rather hand incised into the surface of the copper, accomplished with very sharp knives and a boatload of patience.
A series of hand incised rings also circumnavigate the interior  basin of the charger, as well as on the curved outer sill.
The charger is largely free of any significant and noticeable dings, dents or deep abrasions. Great for a centerpiece for your dining room table or to display on a sideboard or bar. From the venerable, historic tradition of
Islamic
metalware, this charger 'didn't fall far from the tree.' Very nice.
