Futurist Trophy Bronze Sculpture Streamlined Futuristic Not Hood Ornament Italy

Description

For offer a Futurist Automobile Trophy, cast in bronze & mounted on a wood base. The sculpture represents a Goddess of Speed standing on top of a futuristic race car. It dates from the early 1930's & measures 18 1/2" (47 cm) tall & weighs 7 lbs (3 Kilos) . The bronze is silver plated & hand chased. It is in excellent condition, a little patina & the odd minor blemish from age. The wood base has a split on one side but it is not deep. There is no maker's mark or signature on the bronze. There were two plaques attached to the base, these have been removed. The plaques may have been considered politically incorrect, due to this period of Italian history.  If anyone recognizes this work & who may have created this sculpture please write to me.
