Jennings Brothers Classic Monkey Cigar Rest and or Snuffer

Here is one of my very favorite Jennings Brothers designs.
This is the Monkey version of their whimsical largemouth cigar ash tray.
I can just imagine these sitting on a business man’s desk, on the fancy hotel bar, or at each chair of the poker table.
They have always made me smile and I have found them to be a highly functional little luxury on the occasions I allow myself to indulge.
They are not just artistic but actually serve as a helpful third hand when you need to just set your cigar down for a minute, or want to snuff it and return later and finish it off.
They are a small piece of art that makes cigar smoking and even more luxurious indulgence. This is the monkey but there are other animals as well.
Today I am listing The Alligator (JB 1981, The Lion (JB1882), The Pelican (JB 2210), and the Monkey (JB 1979).
They all were made circa 1920’s and came in multiple finishes.
This one is in a rich bronze color.
The details are exceptional and it is signed on the bottom.
He measures 2.5” wide by 2” deep by 3.5” tall.
