    Description

    Large Rare Antique 18th Century Solid Pewter Signed WOLFRAM Spoon 1700's
    8.5” Long
    Superb spoon with great makers mark on back featuring the Latin phrase:
    "DIEU ET MON DROIT"
    "God and my right"            (the motto of the British monarch).
    Along with the
    Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom
    as shown.  2 Lions surrounding a shield with the inscription:
    "HONI S
    OIT QUI MAL Y PENSE"
    "
    shame on him who thinks evil of it"        (the motto of the Order of the Garter).
    Maker is "WOLFRAM" and that is on the back of spoon as well.
    In amazing condition - nearly like new!
